BOSTON, MA — Considered by food and wine connoisseurs to be the nation’s most extensive wine and food pairing series, the Boston Wine Festival will celebrate its 25th Anniversary in January 2014. For a quarter of a century, Chef Daniel Bruce has brought distinguished winemakers to Boston for an epic winter celebration of wine and food pairings.

The Boston Wine Festival offers guests exclusive dinners hosted by some of the world’s most renowned winemakers from both European wineries and New World producers. Past highlights have included Opus One, Chateau Palmer, Shafer, Guigal, Caymus, Peter Michael, Vega Sicilia and Diamond Creek to name a few.

With nearly 40 festive evenings of intimate winemaker-hosted dinners, themed brunches and receptions, the Festival season typically spans twelve weeks from January through March. With the 24th Annual Boston Wine Festival underway, Chef Daniel Bruce is already gearing up for the 25th Anniversary of the festival– projected to be the best yet.

Over the course of the Festival’s history, Chef Bruce has created more than 4,000 original dishes, each designed to perfectly complement the special wine with which it was served. To date, more than 90,000 bottles of wine have been opened at the Boston Wine Festival and over 1,000 dinners have been served. Chef Bruce maintains his unique philosophy of matching dishes to wines by tasting and creating flavor profiles that enhance both the wine and food experience. This concept inspired the opening of Meritage at the Boston Harbor Hotel in 2002, which celebrates the Festival with its unique food and wine pairing format.

The popularity of the Boston Wine Festival has continued to grow, allowing Chef Bruce’s wine and food pairing concept to travel to Washington D.C. and Berkeley, California with the Capital Wine Festival and Berkeley Wine Festival.

The 2014 Boston Wine Festival will offer an unmatched celebration toasting to the festival’s unique history and to its future. The 25th Anniversary lineup of wine dinners and events will be shared as the Festival approaches, opening a new chapter in this evolving and inspiring series.
