THE BOSTON HARBOR HOTEL CELEBRATES SILVER ANNIVERSARY

BOSTON – August 24, 2012 – In recognition of its 25th anniversary week, the Boston Harbor Hotel is hosting a memorable rotunda reception on Friday, August 24 to honor the 21 employees who have been at the hotel since opening day.

The Boston Harbor Hotel Celebrates Silver Anniversary with a Milestone Reception Honoring Original Employees

BOSTON – August 24, 2012 – In recognition of its 25th anniversary week, the Boston Harbor Hotel is hosting a memorable rotunda reception on Friday, August 24 to honor the 21 employees who have been at the hotel since opening day. To kick off the reception, proclamations from Mayor Thomas Menino and Governor Deval Patrick will be read by Pyramid’s Chief Executive Officer, Richard Kelleher. The speaking program for the event will also include appearances from each of the five General Managers who have left their mark on the Boston Harbor Hotel over the past 25 years including Dennis Mills, Francois Nivaud, Jim Flynn, Paul Jacques and Jon Crellin.

The guests will travel through time against a back drop of original artifacts and memorabilia from the hotel’s opening year. Honored employees and guests will have the opportunity to visit with old colleagues, management and friends while enjoying artfully prepared hors d’oeuvre displays by Chef Daniel Bruce, who has also been at the hotel for over 23 years! A striking cake in the shape of the hotel’s iconic Rotunda will be the featured dessert to mark the 25th Anniversary, in remembrance of 1st Anniversary cake which was constructed as the hotel’s façade.

To preserve the memories of the past 25 years, the original 21 employees will also be presented with a coffee table photo book, which captures each of their photos, personal stories and images of the hotel’s construction process, as a token of appreciation for their dedication and service.
