Forbes Travel Guide: Boston's Most Romantic Restaurants for Valentine's Day

Every February, many people look for the most romantic restaurant they can find to take their special someone for a night to remember. Restaurants love to oblige, rolling out Valentine’s Day menus with champagne, oysters and chocolate galore. These three Boston eateries are no different.

Another stylish option around Valentine’s Day is Four-Star Meritage Restaurant + Wine Bar. The establishment, located in Five-Star Boston Harbor Hotel, offers amazing views of the waterfront, an award-winning wine list (over 850 varietals are available) and the talents of renowned chef Daniel Bruce in the kitchen.

Bruce’s menu relies heavily on locally sourced meats, fish and produce, and his vineyard-to-table approach focuses on expertly matched food and wine.

A special four-course prix fixe will be offered on February 11 (when it may be easier to snag a reservation), as well as on Valentine’s Day. The menu includes diver scallops, seared foie gras, Atlantic halibut, short ribs, a cheese course and hazelnut cremeux. And when you consider the expert sommelier on hand and the choices in the wine cellar, it would almost be a crime to skip the optional vino pairings.
