After a three-month long refresh, MERITAGE RESTAURANT + WINE BAR is excited to debut a stylish, refined dining room and wine bar.  In addition to the new bold, elegant interiors Chef Daniel Bruce brings a unique Vineyard-to-Table concept to the menu where he will share the special relationships he has formed with winemakers from all over the world with diners at MERITAGE RESTAURANT + WINE BAR.

A Culinary Legend and Master of the Kitchen

With a passion for food, wine and the art of pairing the two, Chef Daniel Bruce transformed the culinary landscape for wine and food enthusiasts when he opened Meritage in October 2002.  Drawing inspiration from his experience as chef and Founder of the Boston Wine Festival, Chef Bruce took his love for creating dishes to match specific wine characteristics and turned it into Meritage Restaurant + Wine Bar – a haven for food and wine lovers to enjoy year-round.

You are now able to enjoy Chef Bruce’s cooking at home with his new cookbook Simply New England: Seasonal Recipes that Celebrate Land and Sea!

Home to the city’s most extensive selection of fine scotches, the bar's new beverage menu focuses on the art of dynamic cocktail creation using fruits, herbs and spices. Highlighted by rare single malts and cognacs, the bar’s classic and contemporary cocktails will all be created a la minute without the use of any premade mixers or ingredients. Guests can also indulge in a revamped menu of savory bar bites and bar-friendly entrees – in Simply New England style- created by Chef Daniel Bruce.

Meritage: BEST Dining Experience in Boston

My husband and I went here to celebrate our anniversary. The ENTIRE staff were attentive (without being over baring) knowledgeable and courteous. The food was perfect. Each course was paired with a specific wine selection and the pairings were matched brilliantly. Go here for the beautiful view of the Boston Harbor, but stay for the 5star dining experience. Everything was absolutely perfect.

Rowes Wharf Sea Grille: Fantastic Location!

Rowes Wharf Sea Grille is located right on Boston Harbor. There are beautiful views of sail boats gliding by as you enjoy your outdoor dining. There is a band playing almost every night during the summer to provide entertainment. The seafood was very fresh and delicious.

The Alley Bar: Perfectly Unique

This space is just so perfectly unique. You may feel like you have left Boston and been transported to a spot in Italy or France.

Rowes Wharf Bar: A Place to be Bookmarked

A classy looking place with professional bar tending and a refreshingly non-pretentious atmosphere make this a great spot to meet friends or colleagues.Aside from being fairly easy to get to from the financial district, the thing I like about Rowes Wharf Bar is it's relative spaciousness. The bar can be doing a lot of business without its patrons feeling like they are packed-in like sardines. Definitely a place to be Bookmarked for future reference.

Meritage: Outstanding View of Harbor, Service and Food

Did not expect this degree of quality from a hotel restaurant. Because you can order smaller portions, you can have more variety than just a traditional appetizer and entree. The swordfish was incredibly fresh and cooked perfectly. The Colorado lamb was delicious, equal to any lamb we have eaten in Colorado or elsewhere. The food has a light quality, so even eating a good amount did not make us feel overly full. The service was professional but yet relaxed. Highly recommended.
